I really enjoyed photographing the Flaherty family a few weekends ago. As always, their daughter Avery was a perfect little angel and has the cutest personality in front of the camera. (She makes my job seem so easy and can really steal the show if we are not careful!) However, this shoot was mainly about her new younger brother Dane who was only about one month old. I couldn’t ask for a better newborn! He was so calm and peaceful the entire time, sleeping through all the poses that we tried. He only fussed a couple of times, which only made my job easier. He must take after his sister :-). Some of my favorite shots are the ones where Dane is laying on top of Avery. I’ll have to admit that when Mom requested that pose I was a little skeptical whether or not we were going to get it or not. After all, Avery was not even two yet… I thought there was no way that she would sit still long enough for her little brother to lay like that. Boy, did they prove me wrong! I had a blast photographing these little children and look forward to many more sessions in the future!
